We are back to Newfoundland and Labrador! Just like that 3 months have passed and we are again settled in our home in St. John’s… or ¾ settled since it is amazing how long it takes to unpack when you have a baby!
We are lucky enough that were able to amass hundreds of photos and a few objects to remind us of our trip. Beside the items I talked about on my previous post, we brought a cute (and useful) “thing” for Samuel. In a 66’’ by 47’’ box you can find the several pieces that will make Donko. Donko is a small cardboard bookshelf created by the Portuguese team Toyno®. How were we able to carry such a big box across the Atlantic? As a matter a fact it fitted perfectly inside one of suitcases and since it is super light it adds very little weight.
We are so glad we brought Donko with us. It was hilarious to observe Samuel while we were assembling Donko and I can’t wait until he is a bit older so he can paint Donko’s white “fur”. Presently, Donko sits nicely by Samuel’s play mat and carries many of his books, crayons and magazines.
If you would like to support this project, Toyno® is fundraising, but today is the last day. After meeting Joana, one of the very passionate Toyno® designers, I truly believe this is a project very worth supporting. With a bit of luck maybe you can convince them to ship Donko all the way to Canada.
PS – As an added cuteness feature, Donko comes with a birth certificate and once emptied the box is perfect to store all the prints and posters that are waiting to find place in our walls.
