Olivia Canela has a new skin care product! It was a bit of a selfish endeavour but it’s a mighty creation nevertheless. It was made for Samuel. When those first chilly and blustery days hit, Samuel’s cheeks were dry and red like a wilted strawberry. I couldn’t have the child of a skin-care confectionaire walking around like that. Yes, I could wipe out the Mimino baby balm from the diaper bag but who wants to put clean fingers on a product that has been used on a child’s bum and then slobber it all over said child’s face? Not this momma, that’s for sure!
Rosy Cheeks was born. A simple, yet luscious blend of cocoa butter, coconut and sweet almond oils that will leave your baby’s cheeks and lips soft and protected from the cold weather. Rosy Cheeks comes in stick form so it is easy and fast to apply. No need to take your gloves in the middle of a windy street, just turn the tube et voilà! Olivia Canela tries its best to avoid petroleum-based products but the plastic tube was the best fit for this product. The material is made of recycled plastic and it’s recyclable.
Warning, the cocoa aroma means that in each application your baby will think that he/she is getting a sweet treat. The baby mouth will open with expectation. You will feel a tad guilty and several kisses on those chubby and deliciously scented cheeks will ensue. Reduce such kisses to a minimum or you will be moisturizing your lips instead of the child’s face. Another solution is to subsequently re-apply Rosy Cheeks.
A limited number of Rosy Cheeks is available before the end of the year. Find them at our table this Sunday at the At Wit’s Inn Christmas Craft Event and at the Anna Templeton Centre Christmas Tea & Sale on Dec 14th and 15th (our table will be on the 3rd floor).
Get them while it’s hot… or more precisely, while it’s cold.
