Ahh, the typical Newfoundland beach, the ruggedness of the coast, the rocks, the fog rolling in, the freaking icy water!
I do have a space reserved in my heart for Middle Cove beach: the occasional iceberg in the Spring, the whales and capelin early summer, the bonfires. However, for me nothing beats the soft golden sand where you can spread a towel and lay down without breaking your neck and an Atlantic Ocean that, although not hot, you can actually stay in for more that 6 seconds.
So here you go, photos of Portuguese beaches. Hope you had a great Labour Day weekend, whichever beach you were on!
