Happy Friday Folks!
I spent last week in Toronto doing an intensive skincare course with Tracey TieF from Anarres Natural Health. After 5 years of making my own cosmetics it was about time to learn hands-on from one of Canada’s best in the field of natural skincare. Shampoos, lotions, serums, mineral make-up, sunscreen, and toothpaste were some of the products created through the week. Most were customized with oils specific to my skin type. Beautiful scents infused the space at the end of each day: Frankincense, bergamot, cypress, buriti, carrot root, and the list goes on. My brain has been racing, eager to translate all this new knowledge in some Olivia Canela products and many SeaBerry Studios workshops. What would you like to see?
Visiting Toronto also gave me the opportunity to hang out with a few of my close friends and enjoy delicious meals like scallion biscuits with whipped goat cheese, saucy Ethiopian dishes served with injera – “squishy bread” according to my friends’ kids – and gelato! Sunny skies, yoga, and cherry blossom season also contributed to an overall excellent week in the mainland.
In a somewhat related topic, registration for the first SeaBerry Studios workshop is open! We will be offering 2 sessions in June at the Anna Templeton Centre. Visit the site for more details. We have all the tools ready for an educational and fun event.
Have a wonderful weekend! Make it count.
