Happy Summer Solstice Folks!
It has been some crazy couple of weeks. We are leaving on holidays in a few days and having house sitters during that time. The house is chaotic; packing, cleaning and planting are being done at the same time. Work also decided to send me to Halifax for meetings! It was only a 24h stint but luckily I had the chance to re-visit the Public Gardens which are now in full bloom. Over the weekend Elisabeth and I hosted our first SeaBerry Studios workshops. We had 2 amazing groups and it was incredible how 4 hours flew by when you are having fun. The weekend also brought Samuel a beautiful new cousin. It is interesting how fast you forget how small and fragile newborns look.
Even with all the commotion we managed to get everything done. The bags are packed, the house looks somewhat presentable, and the veggies are outdoors. Potatoes, cabbages, carrots, cucumbers, and beets have been planted in Torbay. Radishes, greens, beans, tomatoes, chard, fennel, and more are in containers and raised beds in the backyard. These last few weeks were exhausting but it makes it easier when you are surrounded by projects that you love and by supportive and inspirational people. Now, let the holidays beginning!
Have a wonderful weekend! Make it count.
